Elsa Frazão Mateus

Instituto de Ciências Sociais | Universidade de Lisboa

Overview

A research monography, in which Elsa Frazão Mateus analyses the representations of meat consumers and traders regarding risk and food security, against the pathogens of vertebrate animals (zoonoses), such as BSE, bird flu, brucellosis, salmonellosis, among others. Assuming the genesis of the passage of SARS-CoV-2 to humans in a wild animal market, this research gains an added relevance for the current production of knowledge about COVID 19 and public health.
