Between July 8 and 21, the Centre for Social Studies (CES) will participate in the series of exhibitions "What is being researched at the UC?", which intends to present to the community the projects and research areas developed in the Research and Development Units of the University of Coimbra.

The CES exhibition, which is on the first floor of the CoimbraShopping shopping centre, is based on the results produced by some of the ongoing research projects to explore themes ranging from the right to housing and the city, the climate crisis to the digital humanities and gender issues. CES thus makes known part of the research it produces, informing the public debate on issues that mark contemporaneity.

This activity of promoting scientific culture strengthens CES’ presence in the public space and its relationship with the surrounding territory, and is aligned with the principles of democratisation of knowledge and the production of a science in society and for society, which have guided the scientific strategy of the institution since its foundation
