Synopsis
The hypothesis underlying this book is the following: in contemporary capitalisms, the balance between public and private, between the common interest and individual interests, has been significantly altered, and an imbalance has been created in favour of market powers and particular spheres of these powers, but this does not mean that everything is based on the market and even less on the individual power of each person who participates in it. On the contrary, new powers have emerged that have become dominant, and society needs a level of social dialogue capable of countering them with the common interest, the sustainability of collective life and strategic organisational objectives that go beyond each sphere; this is the exercise of what should be called planning.
