Cultural Translation. A Travelling Concept and Its Ideological Impact

Abstract

This seminar will follow the paths of "cultural translation" across the different disciplines. It will explore the concept's role on globalization politics and will question the main features of a "cultural translation" conceptual framework through a transdisciplinary perspective.

 

Biographic Note

Michaela Wolf lectures at the Department of Translation Studies of the University of Graz and has several works published in the field of translation theory and sociology of translation. She is the co-editor of Translation Studies, a reference journal in the field.
