The 'information war' has been one of COVID-19’s spectra. At a time when mass vaccination is being singled out as one of the 'solutions' to this pandemic, how do we react to the recent trend of parents, especially in Western countries, who refuse to vaccinate their children? This article assesses and revisits the origins of the anti-vaccination movement, the reasons behind the growing strengthening of the movement, the role of the internet in the dissemination of anti-vaccination ideas and the public health repercussions.
