«Sociologia do Direito: uma abordagem sociopolítica» by António Casimiro Ferreira

Vida Económica | 2019

Summary

Sociology of law is a relevant domain for the study of the relationship between politics, law and society. Although, there have been several research and publications on socio-legal issues in Portugal, as of yet, there hasn't been a publication which systematizes the main concepts, theoretical currents, themes and problemas of sociological analysis of law. This book seeks to bridge this gap by providing the reader with an up-to-date overview of sociology of law. The option here was to organise the book in three parts: Elements of the Sociology of Law; Theories of the Sociology of Law; and A Sociology of law situated between austerity and the exception. Without losing its formative vocation, the book also corresponds to the author's personal view of sociology of law or political sociology of law. The book is addressed to students, teachers and researchers, and all those interested in sociology, law, sociology of law, political sociology, political science and social theory.
