Keynes Room, Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra

Abstract

The session will critically discuss the existence and influence of six overlapping stages that seem to be emerging over the last century so in thinking peace and in peace praxis. It will do so through an ethnographic insight applied to the (slow) building up of conflict management institutions after the event of violence, addressing the components of peace in the twenty first century: emerging architectures, relationality, networks, clusters, sustainability and complexity.
