Resumo

David's approach is strongly interdisciplinary and incorporates comparative methods, psycho-analysis and socio-legal perspectives. He is focusing on a psycho-social 'reading' of 'figures' of institutions like head of states and judges, in a comparative perspective. He particularly questions the symbolic position of the judge, the signification of courts of justice designs, their relations to ritual(s) of justice and their 'effects' on the society.

Nota biográfica

David Marrani é Professor de Direito Público e de Direito Comparado na Universidade de Essex, no Reino Unido, tendo realizado o seu Doutoramento na mesma Universidade. É co-director do programa LL.B Law/M1 organizado pelas Universidades de UPOND/Lyon 3/Toulouse 1 e director do novo programa de LL.M UE em Direito e Estudos Jurídicos Comparados.
