For the 2024-2025 edition, the Gender Workshop proposes continuing the “Feminist Talks” with people from different areas of intervention and work in the field of gender equality and the dignity and well-being of women in Portugal.
The talks will allow to map relevant work carried out in our country not only in academia and the sciences, but also in activism, the arts, care, labour, trade unionism, etc. The selection of interviewees will be aimed at a cartography of diverse feminisms, particularly in the daily and concrete exercise of projects far from the major centres.
This series will run from September to June, with a total of 10 sessions. Two sessions are planned in the form of a knowledges and arts workshop. The series will continue on a monthly basis, preferably on the last Thursday of the month, in a face-to-face format and in different locations in the city of Coimbra.
In collaboration with the Doctoral Programme in Feminist Studies (FLUC/CES) and the Postgraduate Programme in Gender Studies at the Federal University of Bahia.
The team is made up of Catarina Martins, Vanessa Cavalcanti, Gonçalo Cholant, and Eliane Godinho
