João Alcione Sganderla Figueiredo - Philosopher, MA in Social Sciences (PUC - Brazil), PhD in Sociology at UCM (Complutense University of Madrid). Full Professor and Permanent Member of the Faculty of the Master and Doctorate Programme in Environmental Quality at Feevale University (Brazil). He has focused his research and publications on environmental sociology, centering on environmental risk issues. During the past 8 years, he has worked at Feevale University as Vice Rector - Pro Rector for Research, Postgraduate Courses and Outreach.
