The book will be presented by Daniel Blaufuks (photographer and filmmaker).

Synopsis
This book aims to fill the total absence of work regarding the analysis of journalistic and epistolary texts produced by Paul Bowles, since these are vital to perceive the kind of relations that the author cultivated in Portugal during the period in which he resided here in 1958. In the same way, it also seeks to uncover Bowles's opinion during his stay of Portugal, his semi-peripheral and oppressed status, which he revealed to international press, also revealing some of the contacts he established with Portuguese artists and artistic results. If the contact with the Portuguese artistic community was, initially and primarily, in the field of music, the exchange of artistic impressions and the result of them ended up extending to other areas, as evidenced by some works by Daniel Blaufuks and that are also explored.
