Recognising that conventional readings of Human Rights, now dominant in the International Human Rights Protection System, need to be reinvented in order to be placed at the service of social emancipation agendas, it is a matter of promoting a future-oriented approach convening past achievements, present challenges, and the limits of a modern Eurocentric vision of human dignity. In this extended programme, the voices and initiatives of organisations that, in Portugal, have significant trajectories in decisive struggles for the future of Human Rights will be privileged.
