This roundtable aims to contextualise and debate the political factors underlying the commitment of the Portuguese Armed Forces in the context of international missions, as well as the main strategic axes of Portuguese foreign policy. The aim is to discuss Portugal's geostrategic interests and practices, fostering critical reflection on how the national objectives of participation in international missions have been defined and how priorities for action in this dimension have been managed, in articulation with Portuguese needs and capabilities in the area of security and defence.
