Overview

NHUMEP brings together several research areas and projects that encourage an open dialogue with the social sciences and the humanities. Researchers coming from various academic disciplines – sociology, anthropology, law, history, literary and cultural studies, linguistics, international relations, peace studies, gender studies or postcolonial studies –join forces to carry out a reflection and analysis of themes with particular relevance in society. Interdisciplinarity allows an innovative research based on theories and comparative analyses of different historical, social and cultural backgrounds and considering the global implications of local phenomena.
