Amailton Magno Azevedo  is currently Professor of the Post Graduate Studies in History and History Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-SP). Graduated (BA and BS) in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1998), MA in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2000), PhD in history from the Catholic University of São Paulo (2006) and Post doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin (2011). He has experience in the field of ​​History, with an emphasis on History of Africa and Brazil, mainly in the following themes: mestizo black cultures in Brazil, African cultures in the Diaspora, musicality, orality and mestizo black youth. He has published several articles on issues related to the music and the memory of mixed black Diaspora in Brazil. He is also a musician, with an album named Mundo Atlântico [Atlantic World], 2004. From 2012 on, he began to supervise research at MA level by the Postgraduate Studies Programme in History.

Anderson Ribeiro Oliva  - Holds a doctorate in Social History from the University of Brasilia (2007) with a doctoral training period in Lisbon, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon (2005-2006). He holds the position of Adjunct Professor III in the Department of History and the Graduate Programme in History at the University of Brasilia. With experience in African History and History Teaching. His researches have resulted in publications on: the ideas and discourses produced about Africa, African and diasporic identities in post-colonial African context and the history of education in Angola, Brazil and Portugal. He is a member of the editorial board of several journals and is part of the Group for Study and Research in Public Policy, History, and Education of Racial and Gender Relations.

Benjamin Xavier de Paula - graduate at Pedagogia from Centro Universitário Claretiano de Batatais (2006), graduate at História from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000), graduate at Bacharel em História from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000) and master's at Education from Universidade de São Paulo (2005). He is currently professor adjunto at Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri. Has experience in Education, focusing on Education, acting on the following subjects: educação, relações raciais e educação, história, ensino superior and formação de professores.

Pedro Sousa de Almeida - Anthropologist from the University of Coimbra, holds a Masters in Sociology at the Miguel Torga Higher Institute of Coimbra where he held between 2002 and 2010, teaching functions. Currently attending the PhD programme “Democracy in the Twenty-First Century” at the Centre for Social Studies. Favouring football as a gateway to the study of social reality, his research has focused on the critical approach to the phenomenon of racism and Eurocentrism in contemporary societies, the interrelationships between football and neoliberalism and the role of football in post-conflict contexts. His main work is “Futebol, racismo e eurocentrismo. Os média portugueses na cobertura do Campeonato Mundial de Futebol na África do Sul” [Football, racism and Eurocentrism. The Portuguese media in the South Africa World Cup coverage], published by the Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais.
