Series
Contemporary Challenges and Dynamics of Administrative and Tax Justice
November 2023 - July 2024 | Online
In this series of seminars - carried out as part of the research project “Time and the Functional Performance of Administrative and Tax Courts”, requested by the Directorate-General for the Administration of Justice, which is currently underway at the Permanent Observatory for Justice of the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra - crucial and contemporary issues in the field of justice are debated from a comparative perspective, with a particular focus on administrative and tax jurisdiction. Consisting of three different seminars, the series aims to provide a platform for informed debate on some of the pressing issues shaping the judicial landscape, not only in Portugal, but also in the other countries of the European Union: judicial assessors; the role of statistical indicators for transparency, evaluation and management of justice systems; and the paths of administrative and tax justice reforms in Europe.
The series of seminars brings together experts, academics and legal professionals who guarantee the creation of a stimulating forum for the exchange of ideas and mutual enrichment, contributing to the continuous advancement of the understanding and effectiveness of legal systems in Europe.
