1) Freedom of Expression and Platform Regulation: The New European Union Directive on Copyright in the Digital Market
Speaker: Rodrigo Vieira Costa (Professor at the Federal Rural University of Semi-Árido and Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra)
2) Article 17: how to safeguard users' rights? Comparative analysis of existing proposals in the EU
Speaker: Teresa Nobre - Currently Vice-President of Communia. She is also coordinator of the Portuguese chapter of Creative Commons. At Communia, she works on copyright and user rights issues. She is also representative of the Communia in the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights of the World Intellectual Property Organisation. She has actively participated in the recent European legislative process of copyright reform, with studies, publications and interventions on the defence of public interest. She graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2003). LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre (2009).
