Abstract

This project aims to contribute towards clear-cut knowledge of the proliferation and use of small arms in Portugal. The increasing media interest in this situation, public debates held on the subject and the reform of the relevant legislation (Law 5/2006, on Arms and Ammunition) indicate the social importance of this situation.

Outcomes

Assembling (with the partner institutions) an educational kit; Producing a documentary on small arms in Portugal, in partnership with the Brazilian NGO, Nós do Cinema; Publishing a book containing the results of the project.
