Ana Filipa Neves


Biography

Ana is a PhD student in International Politics and Conflict Resolution. She obtained the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA), with a thesis developed at the Danish Institute for Human Rights in Copenhagen. Postgraduate in European and Economic Criminal Law. She earned a Certificat d'Études from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve. She holds a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. Ana worked at IGC/HRC (Faculty of Law/UC), a research institute in public international law and human rights (2008-2019). She was teaching assistant in International Relations (graduate degree) at the Faculty of Economics/UC (2014/15). She did an internship as legal adviser at Coimbra's City Council (2006-2007). She is a lawyer, admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2005. Her main areas of research are: International Refugee Protection, Migration and Human Rights.
