Room 8, CES | Alta

Overview

The purpose of this seminar is to reflect on the use that Brazilian and Mozambican women are making of communication as a human right, on online social networks, to narrate a way of being in the world - in their feminine condition - whose daily life is marked by violence and injustices, but also by resistance practices in search of social emancipation. The relevance of this Seminar is justified since one of the themes that has mobilised current feminist movements is the struggle to criminalize sexual harassment suffered in the streets and other public spaces. Our methodological options are for bibliographic review on the themes of Communication, Gender, Feminist and Decolonial Studies; life stories in formation and the online observation of reports of life experiences of women who suffer the violence of the assault.
