Overview

The seminar will address the impact of the recent political environment on the Right to the City in Brazil, with special attention to the measures that affected urban policy during the last decade. The researcher will also analyse the local resistance processes and expectations regarding the third Lula government.

Betânia Alfonsin (coordinator of the Research Group on Urban Law and Right to the City of the Superior School Foundation of the Public Ministry and director of IBDU - Brazilian Institute of Urban Law) presents the results of 12 years of research.
