Comunismo e Nacionalismo em Portugal: Política, Cultura e História no Século XX
The history of the opposition between the Portuguese Communist Party and the Estado Novo (New State) is, in some extent, the history of the contradiction between the communist internationalism and the fascist nationalism, but also the history of the opposition between two types of nationalism. In Portugal, the communist nationalism gained strength in the 1940’s, with the reorganisation of the Portuguese Communist Party. Stemming from PCP history, this book puts forward the interpretation of the relation between communism and nationalism.
