14:00-15:00 Presentation of the mini-videos on the Portuguese case
They focus on the historical public representations on migrants, refugees and racialised people in Portugal – paying particular attention to racialised, gendered, age and religion-based tropes – as well as of the myriad of effects of said representations. An anti-racist and anti-xenophobic analysis of what decolonial narratives about non-white bodies may look like will be the focus of the discussion between activists, artivists, and academics, with the aim of questionning colonial legacies in the contemporary age.
