Keynes Room, Faculty of Economics - UC
This lecture presents an approach to the problem of integrated forest fire risk management in Portugal and Europe, based on the contribution made by the Forest Fire Research Centre of the University of Coimbra (CEIF), in the context of various projects developed over the last forty years with the support of a large number of national and foreign organisations. It presents the concept of integrated and holistic forest fire risk management and the role of science in risk assessment, mitigation and adaptation to future conditions.
