Daniel Silva
Biography
Daniel Silva is a PhD candidate on the PhD Programme in Democracy in the 21st Century at the Centre for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. His academic background also includes a Master's degree in Public Policy from ISCTE-Lisbon University Institute, completed in 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto, completed in 2020. He is currently a research assistant on the project "Democratic Innovations in Portugal", where he analyses the role and impact these practices have had on Portuguese democracy between 1974 and 2024. He has worked as an expert in participation, whether in the design, implementation or evaluation of participatory processes. His research interests include issues such as civic participation and public policy, particularly urban and mobility policy.
