Biography

Guilherme R. Maia has been a PhD candidate at the University of Coimbra - DARQ/Coimbrastudio since 2017 and has held a PhD scholarship from FCT since 2025. He is an architect (UFRGS/Brazil - 2007), holds a master's degree in architecture (UFRGS/PROPAR/Brazil - 2012), and was a Research Fellow at CIAUD - Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism, and Design, at the Lisbon School of Architecture. He has a special interest in the exchanges between Portuguese and Brazilian architectures from the 20th and 21st centuries.
