Letícia Maria Renault de Barros

Biography

She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil (2015), with a doctoral research stay in the Department of Philosophy at the Université de Liège, Belgium, under the supervision of Vinciane Despret. Her academic background and research trajectory are situated at the intersection of cognitive sciences, epistemology and research methodologies, with a particular interest in the enactive approach, embodied cognition and complexity studies. She has developed research in the field of mental health, participating in participatory and collaborative intervention-research projects aimed at strengthening the autonomy of users of psychiatric medication in decisions concerning their treatment and health (GAM - Autonomous Management of Medication). This work supports a critical reflection on knowledge production, participation and data analysis in intervention contexts. After her postdoctoral period (dedicated to the study of biographical workshop methodologies and the migratory experience), she has taken part in research projects as a collaborating researcher, further developing epistemological and methodological questions related to participatory research, first-person methodologies and situated forms of knowledge production. She is currently a member of the BIOTraCes project. She is a member of the Associação Livre em Esquizoanálise (ALEA, Brazil) and of the International Federation for the Clinique de Concertation.
