Pierre Marie
Biography
Pierre Marie is a post-doctoral researcher in the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (CES) and member of the Research group "Humanities, Migration and Peace Studies" (NHUMEP). He is researcher at "25AprilPTLab - Interactive Laboratory of the Portuguese Democratic Transition", coordinated by Rui Bebiano, at CES and 25 April Documentation Center (CD25A), e funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). He holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Coimbra and the University of Caen-Normandy (France), with the thesis "L'éducation populaire pendant la Révolution portugaise : animateurs et associations d'éducation populaire à Coimbra (1974-1986)". He holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences and in History of Political Thought, both from the Sciences Po Lyon. He works on the History of the Portuguese Revolutionary Process (1974-1976) and experiences of self-management and popular education.
