Biography

Psychiatrist. Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, and Researcher at I3S - Institute for Research and Innovation in Health and associate researcher at CES - Center for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. Founding member of the Portuguese Society for Clinical Communication in Health Care (SP3CS), and National Representative in the International Association for Communication in Healthcare (EACH). Psychotherapist and Supervisor in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapies accredited by APTC. PhD in 2009 by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, she investigates about immunological aspects of depression and in communication between sick doctor and sick student. He is a professor of Medical Psychology, and responsible for the Curricular Units Clinical Communication I and II. She is the director of the Continuing Motivational Interview Course - from theory to practice.
