Biography

Aida Dias graduated in Clinical Psychology in the field of Cognitive-behavioural interventions, at the University of Coimbra. She has been working in the field of post traumatic stress disorder for the past five years. Presently, her scientific interests are the study of war consequences in families of war veterans. She has been participating in national and international scientific meetings in this field, and she also collaborated with European projects on psychosocial interventions in crisis situations. She worked in the project "Post memory and representations", coordinated by Margarida Calafate Ribeiro and financed by FCT (PTDC/ELT/65592/2006). At the moment, she is PhD student at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Utrecht University - The Netherlands with a research grant from FCT (SFRH/BD/68995/2010 - POSI and FSE). Her research project analyzes consequences of childhood maltreatment across the life-span.j
