Young people worldwide have collectively engaged in concerted efforts to elevate climate change on the international political agenda, demonstrating the asymmetric political power conferred upon them socially and legally. Their prominent role signifies active agency in political participation in International Relations. This study addresses the research question, "How do young people from the global South claim agency in transnational climate movements?" employing a qualitative research method to rethink youth agencies in their transnational climate actions. Focusing on the global South, the research shifts attention from formal events to young climate activists' everyday practices and narratives, providing a basis for further reflection and exploration for the dynamics of power and agency in the global climate justice movement. It aims to explore the agency-claiming process of young climate activists amidst resource constraints, thereby unveiling the active subject role of marginalized youth in transnational interactions within the governance of climate change.
