Silvia Ruiz Cervantes


She has a law degree and a master's degree in Latin American Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, UNAM. She worked on several projects at the Institute of Legal Research, UNAM on social rights and indigenous peoples. She also collaborated in a non-governmental organization, Fundar Center for Analysis and Research in the area of human rights in three projects mainly: indigenous peoples, gender and migration. Her areas of research are human rights, indigenous peoples, the human right to water and legal pluralism.
