Biography
Born in Foz do Douro, Porto. Post-graduation in Literary Translation, Bruxelas; Degree in Modern Languages and Literature, Porto. Civil servant in the European Union (1984-2013): director of the European Union Pavilion in Expo 98, Lisboa; member of the Euro launch Team (2000/2002); responsible for Culture Operational Program (POC), and several projects of the FEDER Funds. Writer, researcher on cultural fields, translator, member of diverse cultural associations, publisher. Nominated Friend of Flanders, by the Minister President of Regional government of Flanders, Luc Van den Brande (1996); "Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique", by Portuguese government (2004).
