Joana Pereira Costa
Biography
Joana has an academic background in History, having completed her Bachelor's and Master's (Research in History, Modern Period) at the University of Coimbra. She is currently a doctoral student at the Program for Human Rights in Contemporary Societies (CES-UC), mainly addressing topics related to the impact of climate change on the full enjoyment of human rights. Investigates mobilization movements in Portugal, characterized by a strong youth core within climate groups, increasingly engaged in demanding environmental rights for future generations. In this project, human rights are included in the scope of the environmental rights of/for future generations - and who are the Future Generations.
