Inês Sousa


Biography

Inês Sousa holds a master's degree in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom and a degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. She is currently a PhD student of the International Policy and Conflict Resolution Program at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. She worked as an intern at the European Parliament where she supported the office of a member of the European Parliament for a nine-month period in Brussels. Between 2012 and 2016 Inês worked as an international analyst at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation's International Intelligence Center in Rio de Janeiro where, among other projects, she integrated a three-year research consortium, Atlantic Future, under the seventh framework program. Recently, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Development Cooperation II discipline of the International Relations course at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra. Her research interests are related to security studies and migration studies.
