Filippo Rosin

Biography

I began my career as a lawyer, but at the same time I coordinated humanitarian assistance in Bosnia and Kosovo for an Italian NGO that developed also local projects to rehabilitate schools and spaces for youth. That experience led me to a 12-year career with the United Nations, OSCE, and international NGOs in conflict and post-conflict areas. Most of my assignments were in political and electoral affairs, doing such work as providing technical assistance to electoral commissions in legal and training, and liaising with political parties and local institutions to gather information and draft reports and analysis documents. I also joined several electoral observation missions in Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. In the past few years, I taught seminars on human rights and international relations for graduate students at the University of Padua and wrote articles for two think tanks on elections, politics and conflict. I own a degree in law in Italy and a Master in International Law in United Kingdom. I am fluent in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese and I have an intermediate knowledge of Russian. I am now very happy of pursuing the PhD in International Politics and Conflict Resolution at CES!
