Biography

PhD student in architecture, with a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), hosted by the Centre for Social Studies at the University of Coimbra (CES) and part of the PhD Programme of the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (DARQ). He is developing his thesis research 'Occupation as a political and urban act: a critical essay on São Paulo, the homeless movements and the 9 July Occupation', under the supervision of Professor Nuno Alberto Leite Rodrigues Grande, Professor Maria Helena Teixeira Maia and Professor Abilio Guerra. He holds a master's degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, with research focused on architectural language and its uses in commercial architecture, under the supervision of Professor Rafael Antonio Cunha Perrone. He has a postgraduate degree (lato sensu) in Business Administration - CEAG - Getúlio Vargas Foundation and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie Presbyterian University. At the helm of his own architecture firm, he has managed residential and commercial projects. A researcher at the Arnaldo Araújo Study Centre, he teaches architecture, design and marketing at Anhembi Morumbi University in undergraduate courses. He has served as a guest lecturer in the Postgraduate Programme (lato sensu) at the Belas Artes University Centre, in the subject Brazilian House Design.He was a guest lecturer in the Postgraduate Programmes (lato sensu) in Architecture and Design at SENAC and UNISOCIESC/FGV, and for the latter institution he created the teaching material for the course Sustainability Management for Architecture. He has experience in the design, development, planning, and management of residential and commercial architectural projects. He has published articles focusing on the relationship between buildings and the urban landscape.
