Overview

In the third workshop of the series "Cultural Heritage Open Workshops: sharing collaborative experiences", we will get to know the projects "Sistema de Innovación para el Patrimonio de la Andalucía Rural (SIN_PAR)" and "Sistema de Innovación Turística para el Patrimonio de la Andalucía Rural (SIT_PAR)" that propose innovation strategies for the intervention, management and communication of the existing dispersed heritage in rural areas of Andalucía through the incorporation of territorial cooperation networks.

These areas, threatened by depopulation and highly vulnerable due to their physical isolation, nevertheless possess a valuable cultural legacy as well as numerous heritage assets of a very diverse nature. The aim is therefore to promote the local development of rural Andalusia on the basis of its endogenous heritage resources. Through the application of innovative strategies, the results hope to facilitate the transition towards sustainable and intelligent development in rural areas of Andalusia that traditionally suffer from desertification and abandonment. At the same time, they will strengthen the local population's knowledge about their own cultural heritage and identity through the use of digital humanities.

Partner Institutions: Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico (Spain); Municipality of Loulé.
