Under the motto City, a Shared Future, the 4th edition of CASA ADENTRO takes place on May 9, offering a reflection on built heritage and inviting citizens to rediscover the city through a perspective of citizenship, sharing, and appreciation of urban space.

This year, the programme includes visits to Colégio da Graça, which houses the Centre for Social Studies (CES-Sofia), highlighting the importance of rehabilitating this building, designed by architect José Paulo dos Santos, to accommodate the 25 de Abril Documentation Centre and CES. This intervention represents a significant contribution to the enhancement and revitalisation of the city’s urban fabric, reinforced by the unique role of the CD25A in the national context. Visits to Colégio da Graça will take place in two sessions (morning and afternoon), guided by volunteers from the organisation. As part of the programme, the Bonifrates Cooperative will also host a poetry session at 15:00 inside the building.

CASA ADENTRO 2026 is the result of a collaboration between the Regional Section of the Order of Architects, the Coimbra City Council, the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra, and the Penedo da Saudade Cultural Centre, reinforcing the commitment to promoting architecture, heritage, and the active participation of citizens in shaping the urban future.
