The Scientific Research Project TRACE - Tracing Queer Citizenship over Time: Ageing, Ageism and Age-Related Politics Over Time is a project dedicated to analysing LGBTQI+ ageing, ageism and age-related politics in Southern Europe. Funded by the European Research Council (ERC) (ERC-2021-COG, TRACE, 101044915), it is coordinated by researcher Ana Cristina Santos, at the Centre for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra.
TRACE has just published five reports that take stock of the legal framework for the lives of LGBTQI+ people and (LGBTQI+) ageing policies over time in the five countries under study - Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta and Slovenia.
