Overview

The fourth edition of the webinar series of the Policredos Working Group – Religions and Society seeks to analyse phenomena and dynamics related to religions in various geographical and epistemological spaces on which it is necessary to deepen knowledge and critical posture. It includes webinars about the following topics: the emancipation struggles in Palestine; the women condemned by the Portuguese Inquisition; the traces of the Spanish Inquisition's interrogation techniques in the massacres in Colombia; the articulations between gender and religion in contemporary far-right populisms; the construction/destruction of architectural and religious identities of minorities in India and Bangladesh; post-feminism, religion and “gospel revival” in the evangelical context in Brazil; World Youth Day 2023 and the place(s) of religious belongings in public spaces in Portugal.
