Overview

Created in September 2009 and located in Picoas Plaza until 2021, the CES delegation in Lisbon inaugurates its new premises.
The aim of this session is to reaffirm and relaunch the multifaceted and dynamic activity that characterises this branch, as well as its strategic pertinence; both at the internal level of CES and in terms of its connection to society and its movements, organizations and existing institutional and cooperation relations.

As a basis for the work developed by the Observatory on Crises and Alternatives - and given its character of enhancing lines of research and public debate actions related to them - it is also intended that this inauguration mark the beginning of the commemorations of the 10 years of this Observatory, created in April 2012. As such, a retrospective of the succession of crises analysed over the last decade will be made, as well as the starting point for a set of reflective debates on the economic consequences of war, which will begin with the theme of employment and immigration.
