Eighth programme of a partnership between Radio Universidade de Coimbra and the Centre for Social Studies (CES), within the scope of the research developed by NHUMEP | Humanities, Migrations and Peace Studies Research Group. This collaboration is conducted through the programme "Há Vida(s) Nesta Cidade!", directed by Isabel Simões, and will take place on the last Saturday of each month, starting at 2pm.

Bio notes
Adriana Bebiano | Adriana Bebiano is Assistant Professor with and Aggregation at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) Researcher at CES and currently the President of its Scientific Board. She received her PhD in English Literature with a dissertation on contemporary historical fiction. She has been on the Board of Directors of School of Arts and Humanities (1994-1996) and on the Board of Directors of CES (2002-2002), and is an elected member of the Scientific Board at FLUC since 207. Her current research interests include Feminist Studies, Irish Studies and Comparative Literature. At FLUC, she lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on Literature, Culture and Arts. She also teaches and is the current director of the PhD programme in Feminist Studies, a joint venture CES / FLUC.
Catarina Martins | Catarina Martins is Associate Professor of German Studies of the Faculty of Letters and Research Fellow of the Center for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. She was lecturer for Portuguese, for several years, at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal. She holds a Ph. D. in German Literature from the University of Coimbra (2008). Her current research interests include comparative literature, theories of culture, post colonialism and feminism. She also studies african lusophone, francophone and anglophone literatures, in particular by women writers, concentrating on feminist questions, on the one hand, and on the representation of childhood, on the other. She has published several articles in all these research fields. She teaches in PhD programmes in Feminist Studies, Postcolonial Studies and Literary and Cultural Studies.
