About
Following the International Congresses 'Public Libraries, Cultural Policies and Public Reading', organised by the Research Network 'Libraries, Policies and Reading' (RIBPL), it was decided to organise the former every 2 years. Also every 2 years, in conflicting years, we intend to organise International Meetings, as an opportunity for scientific debate of relevant issues in that year for the public and for the Network itself. The IBPL Network was launched by CES in early 2018.
This 1st Meeting intends to: stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences experienced in relations between the professional and student communities of information and science; sustain the relationship between memory, documentation and dissemination of knowledges; dialogue and reflect on these tasks in interdisciplinary science.
The organising committee is composed by Paula Sequeiros and Maria José Paiva Fernandes Carvalho (CES, UC), Cláudia Sousa Pereira (CIDEHUS, UE), Margarita Pérez Pulido (University of Extremadura, Spain) and Nuno Medeiros (IHC - NEW FCSH).
