December 15, 2020, 10h00 (GMT)

Online event

About

The workshop series Landscapes of Portuguese Influence aims to reflect around the broad theme of space built in the colonial and post-colonial world of Portuguese influence. With these meetings taking place periodically we intend to produce debates from comprehensive disciplinary discourses, as well as to promote the integration of several generations in a space of stimulating dialogue and with the potential to generate new knowledge.

The fifth workshop is dedicated to «Networks and Borders». The proposal is to bring together a diverse group of researchers to discuss the movement of people, goods and knowledge through the various networks associated with Portuguese territories of influence, as well as to discuss the impact of the various borders - in the broad sense of the word - on the construction and transformation of territory, landscape and urban space.

Organisers:  Antonieta Reis Leite, Catarina Almeida Marado, Sidh Losa Mendiratta (CES)
