In times of COVID-19, a discussion about what it means to value modern Western sciences and to recognize and value the epistemological diversity and forms of knowledge produced by humans to give meaning to the world around them and within them is a necessary agenda. In this seminar, Prof. Boaventura de Sousa Santos and CES post-doctoral researcher Charbel N. El-Hani will talk about the role of modern Western sciences in times of pandemic and post-pandemic vis-à-vis the role of other knowledge systems, in addition to possible dialogues and even integration of different forms of knowledge.
