Overview

Lectures/Debates that address the development of digital culture in design. The impact of computer science and the profound influence of information discourses on design are explored, with the contribution of designers, architects, artists, theorists, among others.

Changes in design processes through technology have been profound and accelerated. Understanding and shaping this transformation forms the basis of contemporary design. What can we learn from the past regarding rule-based design? What are informational aesthetics? What are the possibilities of digital manufacturing? Alongside the new digital manufacturing institutes that open in succession, will it be crucial to boost design history and theory again?

Black Box - Stories of the Future will contribute to building a critical view of the influence of computer technology on the discipline, synergies that will seek to illuminate answers to future questions.
