Abstract

A comparative approach to the impact of the 1968 student movement in Brazil and the way it was regarded during the following decades, invariably disparate and in accordance with the  different political circumstances and agendas.

Bio note

Maria Ribeiro do Valle holds a degree in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Humanities of Guaxupe (1993), a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (1990), MA in Education from the State University of Campinas (1997) and PhD in Education from the State University of Campinas (2002). She is currently Assistant Professor at the Júlio de Mesquita Filho São Paulo State Univesity. Ribeiro do Vale has experience in Sociology, acting on the following topics: the student movement, the military dictatorship in Brazil, 1968: political aspects, revolutionary violence and civil-military dictatorship  in Brazil.
