Abstract
The objective of the study is to analyze the dispute and the response of human resource managers to criticism of models of the labour organization models advocated by workers movement over 1974 and 1975. Based on the documentation produced by both trade unions and workers committees or the staff newsletter, edited by the Portuguese Association of Managers, we will try to demonstrate the relevance of this conflict in the emergence of a new discourse around the worker and the company.
