The APSI - Advanced Program in Social Innovation is as an opportunity for Entities and Organisations, Researchers and Professionals with needs and practices in the areas of Social Innovation to share experiences , identify new areas of cooperation and collaborative work , given the exponential increase in needs and the search for answers and solutions conducive to the autonomy to citizens and communities in situations of fragility and social risk .

Maintaining, consolidating and expanding  the dissemination of promising practices for Social Innovation is an enormous challenge in times of reduced entrepreneurial energy and resource scarcity, despite of  the escalation of risks and the exponential increase of exclusion, loss of social autonomy of citizens, families, and traditionally  sustainable communities and territories.

This context the emergence of SIP - Social Innovation Portal, of which this Advanced Program is the first public initiative, intending  to position itself as a wider area of cooperation and structure of commitment and solutions by organizations, researchers, professionals and citizens interested in expanding their social participation and thereby contribute to mature Social Innovation practices.

The SIP- Social Innovation Portal, institutionally framed in CES –Lisbon, is supported by POAT .
